The aim of the ProRec Summer School is to provide a forum to discuss achievements and actual experiences on specific topics in Medical Informatics. Its basis is innovative methods and approaches and it will enhance communication among the professional communities of health informatics.
The ProRec Summer School aims to provide introductory lectures to build the workforce that will enable clinically motivated use of IT to improve the quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of healthcare and public health.
The theme of the first ProRec Summer School (ProRecSS) is the implementation experience of eHealth data.  eHealth contributes to the success and sustainability of the future health care system. This ProRec Summer School will try to bring experience, innovation, new concepts and actual research and development into a discussion resulting in constructive results for a partnership for modernisation.
The goal of the ProRec Summer School is to provide an introduction and overview of health data management and biomedical informatics to those who will work at the interface of healthcare and information and communication technology (ICT). Special focus will be the "meaningful use" of electronic health records.
